Christmas in Africa

Last week, it was Christmas at our house. That's right- Christmas in May! I think it has something to do with being so close to the equator or something. Ok- I'm just kidding. Did you believe me for a second, though? When I say Christmas in Africa, I mean it felt like Christmas because our stuff finally made it! We weren't expecting it for at least another 5-6 weeks so it was a huge surprise when this pulled up at our house:

We couldn't wait to get those crates open and get our stuff unpacked- including our consumables shipment. I knew there was a giant jar of pickles in there somewhere and I was beyond excited. So- the unpacking began:
Even though we only brought about a 1/4 of what we own- it felt like there were a million boxes. Especially when it came to the food. You know how much you hate unloading the groceries after a trip to the store- well this was like that times 100!

But, when it was all said and done, we had 18 months worth of groceries unpacked and all of our stuff that really makes this place feel like home.

We're working on getting the house arranged and decorated now- pictures to come soon! We hope everyone is doing well!
With Love,
The Lynchs
