2010 Recap: January

2010 has been a big year full of so many changes. I thought I'd use the next few days to recap this special year.

In January my wonderful Granny flew home with us to spend a few weeks. I had been trying to get her to come to North Carolina for years and this year I finally convinced her to come. I'm so glad she did. Jesse left for MSG school a few days after she arrived so it was so nice to have company. We had so much fun together and I know her trip is something that neither of us will ever forget.

We spent time shopping, eating Mexican food, and we even went to play Bingo. We also drank lots of coffee and spent time relaxing and hanging out.

The highlight of her visit was our trip to Myrtle Beach. We stayed at a gorgeous hotel with a beachfront view.

During the day we went to Ripley's aquarium and saw all of the awesome creatures. We tried shopping at the outlet mall but it was just too cold. We were so thrilled to be inside the warm aquarium.

Then we were lucky enough to go to Medieval Times. We had so much fun cheering on the Blue Knight!

Granny's visit is something that I will always cherish. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to convince her to visit us when we move to our next post. It won't be as close as North Carolina, but hopefully it won't be as far as Africa either!

I love you Granny!

Check back tomorrow for What I'm Loving Wednesday and a recap of February! :)
