A Few Favorites From Germany

I had a coupon code for a free photo book from Picaboo (Email me if you want it- it expires March 22) and I decided to use it to make a book about our trip to Germany. It took forever but I think it’s going to turn out really nice.

I haven’t had a chance to blog about it, but we had an amazing time. It was so beautiful there and it was fun to see so much snow. We stayed at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmisch. It’s run by Army MWR and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.

Even though Jesse was there for work, we had plenty of time to see the sights. One night we went on a tour of a local brewery.  Since I couldn’t drink, Jesse was sweet enough to drink my samples along with his.

One day when Jesse was at work, I went on a tour to Neuschwanstein Castle. It was built in the mid 1800’s and was the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Unfortunately, they didn’t allow photography inside. I *wish* I had pictures because it was absolutely amazing.

We also visited the Wieshkirche (The Pilgrimage Church of the Scourged Savior). The Jesus statue at this church is said to have cried real tears on June 14, 1783. From the outside it looks pretty plain, but the inside is stunning!

I have tons of other pictures to share, but don’t want to overload you with too many in one post. Look for another Germany post sometime this week!

How sweet of him to drink your samples :0

All of these pictures are gorgeous, especially the church. Making all your pictures into a photo book sounds like a wonderul idea.
