Look at that body… I workout!

Is it just me or is that song stuck in everybody else’s head too? They play it on the radio here about 65 times a day so there is no chance of forgetting it. I guess it is kind of catchy…
Anyway- that’s not  really the point of this post. I really want to talk about the fact that I DON’T workout. At least not yet, anyway. You may remember throughout all of my BBBW posts that I would set workout goals and then fail to meet them.  The truth is that I have become quite complacent (and maybe even super slightly lazy!) Is anyone else the same way?
Despite my laziness, I have been lucky enough to be steadily (though very slowly) losing weight since Emerson’s birth. I am now a few pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight (but still not quite where I want to be.) I’m pretty sure I can attribute the weight loss to breastfeeding because I know for sure it’s not anything I’m doing!
Anyway- the point is that I have a little extra fluff that I need to get rid of and I know it won’t be possible without putting in some effort- especially with the holidays coming up. A few days ago I found some old pictures from when I was a workout fanatic. I even found a pair of jeans that I wore back then. They fit but they sure don’t look the same as they used to! If that’s not motivation I don’t know what is!
I  also love the feeling of accomplishment after a good workout, don’t you?
So- I’ve decided to issue myself a little challenge.
The challenge is to complete 20 workouts in the next 30 days (Nov. 1st-Nov. 30th)  I know this isn’t really a lot for someone who works out regularly but it will be quite the challenge for my lazy self! I am not setting any particular guidelines when it comes to the actual workouts so anything goes. I’m just trying to get back into the habit of working out regularly.
I’m thinking if I succeed I’ll reward myself with something fun. Maybe a new pair of jeans or some cute shoes…
I’ll be posting my progress here (linked to button in sidebar) and doing weekly updates.  If you happen to check in and see that I’m slacking, don’t hesitate to call me out. I need all the help I can get. Smile
If you want to join in the fun, feel free!  You know what they say about strength in numbers!
Now I’m off to dust off my tennis shoes….
