Catch Up

It has been a crazy, busy week and I haven't had a spare second to sit down and blog. I've really missed it! But things should be a little bit slower and more relaxed this week and I'm planning on getting back into the game. This is what we've been up to while I've been gone:

-Jesse came down to West Texas for the week, but had to head back home this morning. Emerson and I are going to miss him like crazy. Have I mentioned how much I hate good-byes?

-We had Emerson's birthday party yesterday and it couldn't have gone any more perfectly. It was such a special day and I'm so thrilled that so many people came to celebrate our sweet girl.  Expect LOTS of pictures this week.
-As you can imagine, most of the week was spent preparing for the big day. We had everyone in on the crafting action. There is no way it would have come together without everyone's help. We have THE best families!

-Speaking of Emerson, she will be 13 months tomorrow! Holy moly- time is flying! I still want to keep doing posts about her growth but I haven't quite decided how I want do them. I guess I better hurry up and decide, huh?

-I have not worked out a single time since we arrived almost 3 weeks ago.  Believe it or not, I have actually missed it and I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine. But boy is it going to hurt. I already feel so out of shape.  I  have also been eating like every meal is my last meal. I'm deeming this next week healthy eating week. :) No more Mexican food for this girl.

-I came across this 100 Day Challenge at Nest Building and I instantly knew I wanted to participate.

The problem was deciding just what I wanted to try to do for 100 Days. There are so many things I need to work on. We all know how indecisive I am but I was finally able to narrow it down to two things. Then I couldn't decide between the two so I decided to do both:

1. Read the Bible every day.  One of my goals for 2012 was to read the entire Bible and I am ashamed to say that I haven't been faithful about this. I've decided to try to use this 6 month reading plan.

2. Write on the blog every day.  I feel like when I don't blog, I so easily forget what we were up to at any give time. So I am making it my goal to blog every day for the next 100 days. I'm sure some days will be short and sweet, but I will do my best to really write as much as possible.

My challenge starts today, June 15, and will end on September 25. I'll try to update you guys on my progress periodically. If you're interested in joining the challenge, go here.

-Thanks to everyone who hasn't given up on the ol' blog! I know it's been quiet around here! :)

Blogging has taken a backseat since we have been back home too. I guess I didn't realize how much time I spend doing it when we are on our own. Cant wait to see party pics!
