Five on Friday

Hey everyone! Here I am popping back in to say hello and to link up with Natasha and several others for their fun Five on Friday link-up.

So, here are my five for this lovely Friday.

1. Daddy's Home!
Jesse made it back Wednesday night and Eme and I were SO happy to see him. Yay for having our little family back together again.

2. Workout Switch Up
A few weeks ago I decided it was time to change up my workouts a bit.  I had been doing some high intensity workouts for quite some time and my knees (and shoulders for that matter) didn't seem to happy about it. I decided to switch back to some of my favorite old school workouts, including The Firm. I was surprised at how hard they were even they are so different than what I've been doing. I also finally tried a barre workout, Phsyique 57. I did two of the express workouts that you can rent on their website. I really liked them and I was pretty sore. Next, I plan on trying a Pure Barre DVD that I got from Netflix.
Unfortunately I barely worked out while my mom was here and I haven't quite gotten back into the swing of things. I'm hoping to break that trend today.

3. Machine Troubles
My embroidery machine started going pretty crazy a few days ago. I was working on shirt and it messed up at the very end on the monogram. I was so annoyed! So my mom and I decided to try to work on it and see if we could get it fixed. We tried everything and nothing seemed to be making it better. In fact, it started acting worse! After over an hour we were ready to give up when my mom noticed a piece of fuzz inside one of the tension hooks. I was able to fish it out and turned out to be a huge piece of thread that was all bunched up. From then on, it worked like a dream! Thank goodness. Now I can get back to my orders for Sweet T Kids.

4. Picture Time
I was looking through IPhoto and realized that I haven't used my real camera since Emerson's birthday. Determined to change that, I took it with me to E's gymnastics class on Tuesday. However, I forgot one pretty critical thing: the battery! Luckily my mom was able to snap a few iPhone pics.

5. Lunch Date
Emerson and I have a lunch date today with a friend at our favorite place: Chick Fil A! It will be perfect because she can play while we chat.  And, of course, the food can't be beat. It's a win-win for everyone!

Happy Friday!

I love The Firm! Their studio is right down the road from me and I've known the owner for years. Their videos are NOTHING compared to their classes. I couldn't walk for days!

What a cute little gymnast! So much fun! I really need to find a class for Aubrey! She'd love it.

I've been doing Barre stuff in my workout classes and it's great for legs - lots of squats, lunges, plies (or however you spell it, lol). Can't wait to get my hands on that little t-shirt, or rather, my little guy in that cute little t-shirt!! Glad you got your machine fixed!

Stopping by from the Friday link up to say hi! I'm in Fort Worth, and I can't believe there is a Rosa's there in California. (Saw on your post below.) We ♥ Taco Tuesday!

I have some friends that take a barre class and they love it! They are also super trim so I guess it works! Y'all have a fun family weekend together now that Jesse's home!

Isn't that the worst when the machine messes up right at the end??? Ugh, I hate that! I haven't tried pure barre, but I've been thinking about it. I need to do something to get back into shape. I should have thought about that before swim suit season =)
