Do you ever have those times when you feel like you are just behind on EVERYTHING? That's where I am at the moment! We arrived home last Thursday and I feel like I've been scrambling to catch up with everything ever since. My poor blog has been quite neglected but I am slowly going back and catching up on my 31 Days posts. I'm backdating most of them which puts them behind some older posts so be sure and scroll down to see all of the fun Emerson has been having with our Halloween activities.

I hit the 27 week mark last Wednesday and I completely failed to do a bump update. I guess this bathroom selfie will have to do.
And since I didn't blog much while we were in Texas, here's a bit of what we were up to:

It was pretty chilly a few days so we got to put our boots and sweaters to good use.

Emerson and Izzy had a love/hate relationship going on. They were constantly bugging each other but also couldn't stand to be away from each other.

Emerson and I met up with my oldest friend Lawren and her sweet little girl, Addisyn.  She was so sweet with Emerson!
Playing dress up has become a bit of an obsession with a certain little someone. From the moment she wakes up until she is in bed she insists on having some sort of costume on.

We also had a few meltdowns here and there. This one was completely fake- our girl has a flair for the dramatics for sure.
Jesse and I had our first date night in a long, long time. We went and saw the movie Prisoners. It definitely kept us on the edge of our seat!
Our date night ended up costing a whole lot more than we bargained for when we hit a huge rock in the middle of the road. It destroyed our tire and bent the rim. We had to delay our trip home by a day while we waited for a replacement tire.
On our way home we decided to break up the trip into two days. Tucson is a little more than halfway so we stopped there for the night. We ended up getting a room at the inn on the Air Force base. We lucked out and they put us in the temporary lodging facility. Our room was actually like a little apartment with a full kitchen, a living room and two bedrooms. It was the perfect place for a toddler who had been cooped up in the car all day! It was super cheap, too!

Since being home I feel like all I have done is get caught up laundry and putting things away. I feel like the house is in a constant state of disaster thanks to a very busy (and very adorable) little two year old.

And I can't do a catch up post without mentioning our anniversary. Yesterday Jesse and I celebrated twelve years of marriage! Twelve years!!! That's just crazy to me. I've done a few posts over the last few years about our marriage that sum up a lot of what we've done over the last few years.  On our 9th anniversary I was pregnant with Emerson and finally announced it to the world. On our 10th anniversary I shared some of our adventures, and last year we were home with a sick baby girl.

We haven't had Indian food since we left Abu Dhabi so we decided to try out a nearby restaurant to celebrate. It did not disappoint. We stuffed ourselves full of garlic naan, paneer tikka masala, and mixed raita. It.was.amazing! And since we had a special little person along on our date, we decided that a nightcap at Coldstone was just what we all needed. I can't think of a better way to celebrate.

Happy Anniversary, babe. I love you more and more every day and I am so thankful to be your wife.

And I think you are now up to speed! I have lots of other posts coming up over the next few days so be sure and check back!
