Almost a Month Later

Man, I really stink at this blogging thing. I keep planning on becoming a regular again but somehow life gets in the way. I have so many ideas for posts but I never actually sit down and write them. Oh well, it is what it is.  Since it's been a while, let me fill you in real quick.

The work on the house has continued! I spend most of my mornings doing some kind of project around the house. I've been hanging everything from curtains to pictures to bookshelves. I've been busy but there is still SO much to do. The good thing is I actually really enjoy it. House projects are my thing! :)

I can't share any rooms yet because not a single one is completely done! Emerson's is the closest so I'm hoping to share it by the end of the week.

We've officially been here two months and we are still just giddy. I can't explain how happy we are to be back. The girls are still doing great and absolutely love our neighborhood. I still haven't really gone out and made any new friends yet but I know that will come with time. I'm pretty content to just work on the house in my free time for now.
We've visited a popular church a few times. We liked it but I'm not convinced it's the one for us. It's pretty large and I feel like we kind of get lost in the shuffle. This week a pastor from a local church plant came and spoke. We are feeling that it might be a good church to visit next weekend. The church we were part of in San Diego was a church plant and it was just amazing. We would love to be part of something like that again.

We've also been out and about a little bit. We enjoyed lunch out on the water on Saturday. It was a beautiful day and the girls loved being outside.  It was nice because the could get up and walk around. It allowed us to extend our lunch a little longer than normal.

The rest of the weekend was spent outside doing yard work and playing. It was another great one! :)

We are part of a church plant as well. We began attending on launch Sunday and have felt like an important part of the family ever since. I agree with large churches and getting lost in the shuffle. Glad you guys are readjusting to NC well. I'm in the Raleigh area :-)

Your house looks beautiful! I love that living room. It always takes so long to get settled for me. We went to the same service and that church plant looks awesome! I'd love to visit it sometime too when we find the time! :)
